Etsy banner size: big, mini and carousel dimensions
Your shop banner is the first thing a buyer sees on your shop page. Etsy has three banner styles, each with its own size. This page lists them all — and the tool below makes a correctly-sized banner from any photo, free.

Etsy banner sizes
- Big banner — 3360 × 840 (minimum 1200 × 300). The full-width banner most shops use.
- Mini banner — 1600 × 213 (minimum 1200 × 160). A slim strip that leaves more room for your listings.
- Carousel banner — 1200 × 300 per image, up to 4 rotating images.
- Collage banner: 2 images at 600 × 300, 3 at 400 × 300, or 4 at 300 × 300.
How to make an Etsy banner
- Choose a wide, high-resolution photo of your products or workspace.
- Add it to the tool above — the Etsy banner preset (3360 × 840) is already selected.
- Use crop to fill the wide frame; keep faces, products and any text away from the edges, because Etsy crops banners differently on mobile.
- Process, download, and upload it in Shop Manager under your shop’s banner settings.
Banner design tips
- Keep the centre of the banner the hero — mobile shows a narrower crop than desktop.
- Avoid small text; it disappears on phones. Your shop name is already displayed next to the banner.
- Use one strong photo rather than a busy collage, unless you choose the collage banner style on purpose.
- Match your banner to your listing photo style so the shop feels like one brand. The same tool makes your listing photos too.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Etsy banner size in pixels?
For the big banner, 3360 × 840 pixels (minimum 1200 × 300). The mini banner is 1600 × 213, and carousel images are 1200 × 300 each.
Why does my Etsy banner look blurry?
Usually the uploaded image was below the minimum width, so Etsy stretched it. Export at the full 3360 × 840 from an original photo that is at least that wide.
Why is my banner cropped differently on mobile?
Etsy shows a narrower centre crop of your banner on phones. Keep important content in the middle third of the banner and it will survive every crop.
